The DESIDOC Journal of Library & Information Technology (DJLIT) publishes original research and review articles with an inclination towards information technology as applied to library activities, services and products covering trends, development and issues. It is a bi-monthly journal and six issues are brought out each year. This table highlights the year-wise distribution of articles and guest editorial of DJLIT.
DRDO laboratories procure books for its user community on defence, science and technology. This list provides number of books each libraries in the respective labs are holding since their inception. These books are either procured or obtained on gratis basis.
DRDO undertakes projects in four different categories. These are: Mission Mode (MM), Technology Demonstration (TD), Science and Technology (S&T), and Infrastructure (IF) development. In the recent past, a fifth category, viz., Product Support (PS) has been added to cater to the activity relating to productionisation/transfer of technology (ToT) and limited upgrades. DRDO works with a financial allocation of about 5.2 per cent of the country’s defence budget which is very modest in comparison to established global leaders like USA, UK, Israel, etc. DDR&D’s budget over the years.
DRDO has organised its human resources in to three cadres, viz., Defence Research and Development Services (DRDS), Defence Research Technical Cadre (DRTC), and Admin and Allied Cadre. Every year Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) recruits Scientists in DRDS mostly at entry level (Scientist ‘B’) through Scientists Entry Test (SET).

These rich data sets can be integrated with any other OGC compliant Web Services to make it more meaningful and solve real life problems. The whole OSM map data is organised in 8 themes which can be made on /off with the tools provided in layer menu. The transparency of the Bhuvan Imagery can be changed by the user as per the requirement using the tool available under layer menu of the India geo-portal.

This rich data sets can be integrated with any other OGC compliant Web Services to make it more meaningful and solve real life problems. This WMS is for viewing and not meant for download as the map is served as an image.
The data refers to salient features of Armament products such as 84 mm Light Weight Launcher, Shell 105 mm IFG Illuminating 2A, Mortar Bomb Illuminating 81 mm Mk-II. Armament laboratories of DRDO are involved in the development of arms and ammunition required for land warfare as well as air delivered bombs. DRDO has made significant contributions in the indigenisation of small arms, mortars, RPGs, disposable RLs, mines, bombs and ammunitions.
The data refers to salient features of Wankel Type Rotary Engine and Four Cylinder Two Stroke Reciprocating Engine. 55 hp Wankel type engine indigenously designed and developed in the country for the first time. The development of rotary engine project was initially originated from Vehicles Research and Development Establishment (VRDE), Ahmednagar, and jointly executed by NAL, a CSIR lab, and ADE (DRDO), Bangalore. The engine was cleared for flight after a rigorous ground and endurance test run.
