Children out of school are the number of primary-school-age children not enrolled in primary or secondary school. The data desaggregated by social groups (Scheduled caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class) and major religious communities (Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian).
Sex ratio at birth, deﬁned as the number of girls born for every 1000 boys born, is a more accurate and reﬁned indicator of the extent of prenatal sex selection. It is further categorized by Social Groups and Major Religious Communities.
Unemployment Rate (UR) is the ratio of number of unemployed persons/person-days to the number of persons/person-days in labour force. Three sets of estimates of unemployment rates are obtained based on the estimates of unemployment obtained by the three different approaches used for classification of the activity statuses of persons.
