Water quality data from 2500 water quality monitoring stations, located on all important rivers, lakes including wells for groundwater assessment form the basis of National Water Monitoring Programme (NWMP). Get ambient water quality data of Aquatic Resources in India for 2012. The minimum, maximum and mean values of water quality parameters like Temperature, Dissolved Oxygen(D.O.), pH, Conductivity, Biochemical Oxygen Demand(B.O.D), Nitrate-N and Nitrite-N, Fecal Coliform and Total Coliform are provided in the dataset.

Air quality with respect to Ammonia in air quality stations under National Air Quality Monitoring Programme (NAMP) has been furnished in the data. It contains a detailed summary of Ammonia levels in the country. The air quality of different cities/towns has been compared with the respective National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). The air quality has been categorized into four broad categories based on an Exceedance Factor (the ratio of annual mean concentration of a pollutant with that of a respective standard). The four categories are low, moderate, high and critical levels.
Air quality with respect to Respirable Suspended Particulate Matter (RSPM) in air quality stations under National Air Quality Monitoring Programme (NAMP) has been furnished in the data. It contains a detailed summary of Suspended Particulate Matter levels in the country. The air quality of different cities/towns has been compared with the respective National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). The data provided is annual average concentration. In addition, to above the spread of the data has been given in terms of standard deviation.

Air quality with respect to Particulate Matter under National Air Quality Monitoring Programme (NAMP) has been furnished in the data. It contains a detailed summary of city-wise Particulate Matter levels (having aerodynamic diameter less than or equal to 10 micrometer) in the country. The air quality of different cities/towns has been compared with the respective standard. The air quality has been categorized into four broad categories based on an Exceedance Factor (the ratio of annual mean concentration of a pollutant with that of a respective standard).
Air quality with respect to Sulfur Dioxide in air quality stations under National Air Quality Monitoring Programme (NAMP) has been furnished in the data. It contains a detailed summary of Sulfur Dioxide levels in the country. The air quality of different cities/towns has been compared with the respective National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). The air quality has been categorized into four broad categories based on an Exceedance Factor (the ratio of annual mean concentration of a pollutant with that of a respective standard).
City and location wise ambient air quality in residential, industrial, rural, others and ecologically sensitive areas have been provided in the data. Details of ambient air quality with respect to air quality parameters, like Sulfur dioxide, Nitrogen dioxide and Particulate Matter (having an aerodynamic diameter less than or equal to 10 micrometer) Respirable Suspended Particulate Matter(RSPM), Suspended Particulate Matter(SPM) etc. are given in the datasets. Annual average in each city and its categorization for different pollutant is also represented in the datasets.
The data refers to the Comprehensive Environmental Pollution Index (CEPI) scores of the critically polluted industrial clusters/areas. The index captures the various dimensions of environment including air, water and land. Comprehensive Environmental Pollution Index (CEPI), which is a rational number to characterize the environmental quality at a given location following the algorithm of source, pathway and receptor have been developed.
