City and location wise ambient air quality in residential, industrial, rural, others and ecologically sensitive areas have been provided in the data. Details of ambient air quality with respect to air quality parameters, like Sulfur dioxide, Nitrogen dioxide and Particulate Matter (having an aerodynamic diameter less than or equal to 10 micrometer) Respirable Suspended Particulate Matter(RSPM), Suspended Particulate Matter(SPM) etc. are given in the datasets. Annual average in each city and its categorization for different pollutant is also represented in the datasets. The air quality has been categorized into four broad categories based on an Exceedence Factor (the ratio of annual mean concentration of a pollutant with that of a respective standard). The four categories are low, moderate, high and critical levels. The data is sourced from National ambient air quality status & trends in India.
